Purpose of the Directory
Wisconsin is fortunate to have a wealth and diversity of professionals who have expertise that relates to wetlands. Wisconsin Wetlands Association strives to strengthen the wetland community in our state and region by facilitating connections and collaborations among wetland researchers, consultants, educators, regulators, conservationists, and other experts. We also seek to connect concerned citizens and grassroots advocates with wetland experts in their area. This Directory of wetland experts is meant to provide connections for these and other wetland inquiries and needs for services:

  • Wetland landowners or managers looking to hire a consultant to assist with wetland restoration, invasive species management, wetland delineation, wetland functional assessment or other wetland project.
  • Wetland landowners or managers looking for a nursery that can provide seeds, propagules, or plants for their wetland restoration project.
  • Concerned citizens and grassroots advocates looking to hire a wetland expert (e.g to conduct a floristic survey, hydrologic assessment, wetland delineation, etc.).
  • Concerned citizens looking to stop an avoidable wetland fill project in their community.
  • Concerned citizens looking to report an illegal wetland fill.
  • Concerned citizens seeking an expert and independent scientific review of wetland fill permit application materials.
  • Local groups looking for a wetland educator or outreach specialist to speak at an event.
  • Organizations or firms looking for partners on a wetland related project in their area.

The more records the Directory contains, the more useful it will be for those seeking wetland services. We invite you to create your own record, and we welcome your assistance in making this directory as complete as possible. If you know wetland experts who should be listed in the database, please refer them to this website.

Wisconsin Wetlands Association invites Wisconsin professionals with wetlands expertise to create and maintain a record, free of charge, in the Wetland Resources Directory. The more records the Directory contains, the more useful it will be for those seeking experts who can provide wetland services and information. There is no charge* to create a record in the Directory; the only thing we ask is that you keep your record current. We will contact Directory registrants on an annual basis with an email reminder to update records with new contact and expertise information.

* Wisconsin Wetlands Association provides this Directory and other wetland information exchange services free of charge. However, these programs are not free for WWA.
