Our Board of Directors
Mission Statement: Wisconsin Wetlands
Association is dedicated to the protection, restoration and enjoyment of wetlands and associated ecosystems through
science-based programs, education and advocacy. WWA is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization.
The
organization serves several important functions:

Providing information, advice, contacts
and services to citizens throughout the state who contact
WWA with concerns about local development projects that impact
wetlands;

Maintaining a statewide network of
citizens interested and involved in wetland protection - part
of our Wetland Alert campaign;

Monitoring and researching
activities that impact wetlands statewide, including new and
proposed legislation and DNR Rules;
-
Serving as a wetland information center
to inform citizens of regional or local development proposals,
permit applications, and legislative actions that may impact
wetland and water resources;
-
Training citizens in techniques of
wetland protection, restoration and management.

Producing wetland restoration and
conservation publications that are useful to citizens, agency
personnel and educators.
- Taking a lead role in advocacy for wetland protection
at the local, state and federal level.
