Kirk McVoy Defense Fund
Reaches $21,300 . . .
Help us reach our goal of $30,000 for wetland defense!
Wisconsin
has some of the most beautiful and extensive wetlands and waters
in the nation, yet these wonderful resources continue to be threatened
by increasing development. As the state's only non-profit dedicated
solely to wetlands protection, Wisconsin Wetlands Association
has established the Kirk McVoy Wetland Defense Fund.
The Wetland Defense Fund is designed to defend our state's wetland
heritage from bad policy, major development threats, and specific
judicial, legislative or legal activities that would have a lasting
negative impact. The Wetland Defense Fund is goverened by the
WWA Board of Directors and will be used for legal actions, policy
advocacy and lobbying (to the extent allowed by the IRS) against
proposed activities that will destroy or impact a significant
amount of wetlands. WWA general operations and office costs
will not be supported by this fund. Donations to the fund are
separate from annual membership dues.
Your tax deductible contribution is needed to help build the
Fund today! With your help, we need to raise $30,000 for the Fund.
As of spring 2007, we've raised more than $24,050, but we still need to raise an additional
$5,950.
Won't you consider making a donation today? Your contribution
will help preserve Wisconsin's wonderful wetland heritage for
generations to come!
