Why should developers care about wetlands in or near their projects?
Wetlands can be aesthetic amenities that buyers value.
Wetlands can reduce infrastructure costs through their stormwater functions.

Wisconsin Wetlands Association and Metropolitan Builders Association invite all who are involved in planning and/or building new developments and communities to join us for a workshop to learn how to incorporate wetland sensitive stormwater management practices into new projects and to restore/create wetlands for stormwater management purposes

    >> Milwaukee area workshop: April 25, 2006
    >> Green Bay area workshop: April 27, 2006

Workshop program will include discussion of:

  • Public and private benefits of wetlands
  • How poor stormwater management affects wetlands and their functional values
  • Stormwater measures during construction to avoid short-term wetland impacts
  • Stormwater designs for post-construction runoff to avoid long-term wetland impacts
  • How to satisfy local, county, and state stormwater requirements
  • Wetland restoration and creation for stormwater management purposes
