From previous sections of WWA’s Protecting Wetlands webpages you’ve learned about the laws governing construction activities in wetlands and how you as a concerned citizen can provide input to influence project outcomes.

To help improve the effectiveness of your local wetland protection activities, in the coming weeks, Wisconsin Wetlands Association will post information to help you:

  1. Determine where a proposed construction project stands in the federal, state and local decision making process to determine the next best opportunity for your input.
  2. Write an effective comment letter.
  3. Draft and deliver compelling testimony for public hearings.
  4. Identify and collaborate with partners and allies.
  5. Work with the media to raise awareness about your concerns.
