We have
just been informed by Senator Lasee's office that the public hearing that
was to be held this Thursday, February 16th, in Sturtevant has been
CANCELLED.
This
hearing will be rescheduled. We have been told that one date under
consideration is Monday, February 27th. We will send a Wetland Alert
with the official details when they become available.
This
hearing was one of four being held by the Senate Select Committee on
Regulatory Reform. The hearings were called to seek input from Wisconsin
landowners on “problems” they had experienced with the
Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources’
(WDNR)
implementation of land and water protection regulations, including wetland
protections.
